Since its founding in 1983 by Michael Levine, Dallas Brass has become one of America’s foremost musical ensembles. The group has established a unique blend of traditional brass instruments, including two trumpets, trombone, tuba and French horn with a full complement of drums and percussion, creating a performing entity of extraordinary range. The Dallas Brass’ extensive repertoire ranges from classical to Dixieland, swing to Broadway, and Hollywood to patriotic.
While symphonic credits include the New York Pops, Cincinnati Pops and the Philly Pops, Dallas Brass has been featured at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and has toured overseas to Europe and the Far East.
They have shared the stage with the late Bob Hope, performed for Presidents Gerald Ford and George H. W. Bush and appeared on the CBS’s The Early Show.
The Dallas Brass's passion for music today is a direct result of the band directors, private teachers, and professional performers, who inspired them along the way. As a way of giving back and reaching young musicians, the Dallas Brass created an outreach program, "Music in the Schools." With the hope of contributing to the development of a lifelong love and appreciation of music and the arts, this outreach program brings Dallas Brass together with local music students for an experience on stage that is both educational and inspirational for the students and gratifying to the audience

This outstanding gathering of six gifted musicians is an incredibly refreshing addition to the world of music-making. I have been a loyal fan of the ensemble since I heard them twelve years ago at a national camp as they captivated an audience of 1,200 high school musicians. I extend my sincerest congratulations to Mike and his talented colleagues, and I urge anyone and everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy one of the most exciting musical groups of the new millennium;
THE DALLAS BRASS.

My son plays the trumpet in the 8th grade. I can tell you
that after a long day at workI was not real excited about
attending another concert. But let me tell you:
THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST CONCERTS I HAVE EVER ATTENDED!
It was such an inspiration. You were all wonderful, fun, sexy and cool.
The kids all loved you. Thank you for one of the greatest concerts ever!
