Through sounds of bluegrass and alternative country, with a rootsy eclectic flair of Americana and folk melodies, Blue Mountain Myst’s original songs bring truth and dreams to life in harmonious melody. Their songwriting abounds with bluegrass, alternative country, pop, gospel, and blues. Transcending any single genre, the band writes songs reflecting life and honoring human existence.
Myst's two studio albums, Kitchen Jam and Lonely Highways, have received radio play on the Outbound Country Channel in Texas, and in Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, and they have twice been featured live on PBS. Their most recent project is a recorded tribute to Johnny Cash titled Angel in Black with Nashville producer Chip Martin which will be released as a single on the label of Steelhouse Records.
When asked what inspires them, they respond, “Our music is unique. We just have our own individual spirits and opinions and put them together in music.”
Their original music and quality of live performance would make
any Highlander proud to say they heard them live, right here at home.
